First Aid Kit Medicines

In regards to medicine, you never know when your baby will need certain things, so make sure you are prepared with it all! TYLENOL is great to have after shots, for a cold, or if your baby seems like they are in pain for any other reason. BENADRYL and ZYRTEC are great to have in case your baby has an allergic reaction to something. You never know if they’ll react to new soaps or foods. These are just a few of the medicines that you should keep in your first aid kit, but they are so useful!

*Be sure to ask your doctor for the correct dosage for your baby.

First Aid Kit Drops

There are a lot of drops that are necessary for infants, so be sure to have these in your first aid kit! GRIPE WATER is helpful for gassy babies. VITAMIN D DROPS are a necessity for breastfed babies. Breastfed babies don’t get as much vitamin D as they should, so these are important to give them! PROBIOTIC DROPS are helpful for your baby’s gut, but they are also a necessity if your baby is on an antibiotic (for ear infections especially!). SALINE DROPS are great to help clean out your baby’s nose. They will probably hate it, but it is definitely needed in your first aid kit.

First Aid Kit Items

These are all absolute MUSTS for your first aid kit! This NOSE FRIDA SNOT SUCKER is seriously the best. I was super grossed out by it at first, but when my baby was 7 months old, it became my favorite baby item! It’s really really helpful for constant runny noses! An ELECTRIC NAIL FILE is amazing! Clipping tiny nails is scary, but this file makes it soooo much easier. Obviously you’ll need a THERMOMETER. I really like having a FINGER TOOTHBRUSH because you can control it and you don’t have to worry about your baby gagging himself. A HAIR BRUSH is super handy too, of course! Don’t forget to add these items to your first aid kit!

Other Useful Items to Have on Hand

These aren’t items to really keep in your first aid kit, but they are definitely helpful. Having a HUMIDIFIER is really helpful if you live in a dry place. (I love this one because it also has a night light! It’s on sale right now too, so hurry!) Humidifiers also help to reduce the risk of SIDS. You’ll want some VASELINE on hand if you’re planning on getting your baby boy circumcised, and you’ll also want it for any dry spots on your baby’s skin. For that same reason, AQUAPHOR is great! It’s super sticky, but works like magic! BOOGY WIPES are wonderful! I got samples for these and fell in love with them! Perfect for toddlers!

Hopefully these items will help you feel prepared for any situation that you might encounter on a daily basis with your baby! I do really like all of the products linked! They have worked wonders for me! Do you have any other items that are on your MUST-HAVE list for your first aid kit? Tell me in the comments!
