Backdrop Ideas for Baby’s First Valentines Day Photoshoot

Personally, I really like the bright or white colored backgrounds. If you have seen my Instagram page, then you know that! THIS BACKDROP from Amazon is super cute! A backdrop like this can be used for a lot more than baby’s first Valentines Day. This can be used for you and your spouse, a bridal shower/wedding, a Valentines Day Party, and so much more! This also has a white background which I love.

If you don’t want to purchase a backdrop, using blankets is a great way to go! I love using solid white blankets. For the baby’s first Valentines Day photoshoot that I did, I even got some pink scrapbook paper and cut out little hearts to add to my backdrop. If you want some adorable scrapbook paper, HERE is a cute set on amazon! This one is good because it has some colors that work great for both genders and could also be used for an Easter photoshoot!

Props for The Photoshoot

Props can really make or break a photoshoot! For my baby’s first Valentines Day photoshoot, I used a HEART-SHAPED PILLOW (from my bed) and some other random things from home. You could grab some ROSE PETALS and scatter them on the ground. I like the rose petals linked because they are different colors, so you can use all of them, or just pick out the ones that match your backdrop! I also LOVE using letterboards for everything. If you don’t have one, I think THIS LETTERBOARD is an adorable prop for any photoshoot!

If you have been noticing my pictures, I also used a mug from home for some creative angles. Another creative angle I’ve seen involves babies taking milk baths! These are super cute too!

Baby’s First Valentines Day Outfit

The outfit!! This is the most important right? Nope not at all! The outfit can add a lot of cuteness, but I worked with a white onesie and a naked baby just fine. 😉 Depending on what you do for your backdrop and props, a decorative outfit can be a bit much. If you really want a cute outfit though, HERE is a cute idea for a girl, and HERE is a cute idea for a boy. I like those specific ones because you can have your baby wear them during other times of the year, not just for your baby’s first Valentines Day photoshoot.

That was all I did for my baby’s photoshoot! It was simple and cheap! Do you have any other creative ways to celebrate your baby’s first Valentines Day besides a photoshoot? If so, tell me in the comments!
