What to Put in a Break-Up Survival Kit

This is a super fun crafty activity, that can really brighten someone’s day! I had a friend that needed a good smile after a break-up, so I came up with this “Break-Up Survival Kit” to give to her! It was pretty cheap to put together because most of the items came from the dollar store, or Walmart. I gathered it all into a basket, added some funny labels to the items, added a giant sign that said “Break-Up Survival Kit” and took it to my friend!

Of course, you could add or take away items as well. Some of these items won’t be used as much as others (if at all), but it’s the thought that counts! I didn’t really care if my friend threw away some of these items, but I wanted her to read my funny labels and know that I cared! I wanted to soften to hurt from the break-up by putting together this break-up survival kit. After making this kit, I found some cute tags and a basket on amazon that I definitely would’ve added to this gift if I had known about it! I added the links below!

Labels and The Basket

I’ve used THESE labels before, and I love them! They’re super minimalistic and can be used for pretty much any occasion. I like using them for birthdays, Christmas, and random gifts like a break-up survival kit!

I think THIS basket is so cute! It’s very affordable, and in my opinion, it will get used more by the person that you gift it to. It would make an adorable picnic basket, fruit/food basket, Easter basket, or even just a cute basket to store things in. It is perfect for a break-up survival kit though, so it’s definitely worth looking into!

What To Put Inside of the Kit and What to Say

I added all of these items inside of my break-up survival kit and added these phrases to each item. Most of the items were bags of candy, or small sample items. I had to keep it all small, so that it would fit in the basket. If your basket is too big and you don’t have enough items to fill the space, you could stuff tissue paper or Easter grass to the bottom.
