How I Announced My Pregnancy

I love baby announcements! Long before I got pregnant, I was always looking for creative ideas to announce a pregnancy. I had saved so many ideas that by the time I actually got pregnant, I had THE HARDEST time deciding how to announce it. I was so excited for people to find out, but I wanted to make sure it was cute. It was the end of January when we decided to announce our pregnancy, so finding a decent place to take a cute picture was kind of hard. It was dead winter and the day that we went out to take pictures, it was SO cold and windy! We got some really funny pictures, but ended up using the ones we took inside. This is my favorite one from our “photo shoot” that day.

We got the blow up “baby” balloon from a Party City (linked here) and used our Ultrasounds as props! Here is a different one on Amazon if you would rather get that. It was cheap and simple to prepare for and made it easy for it to look cute in multiple settings. We also used a letter board, but you definitely don’t have to! If you get a letter board though, it can double as a fun way to announce the birth of your baby as well! This isn’t the one I used, but I wish I would have because it is so cute! And it is only $11 through Amazon! Here are some more ideas I had for our baby announcement, but ended up not using.

This is a great announcement if you want to share details about the due date and still be super simple!
The wind was blowing like crazy when we took these pictures, so nothing stayed in place (my poor hair) and we had to hold onto the balloon for our lives, but the location was gorgeous otherwise!
This was also a really cute idea, but obviously didn’t turn out the way that I was hoping! My hubby is just too tall for me to peak over his shoulder at a good angle. It was also FREEZING when we took this picture!
This is another way to announce the details about the due date, but still have your faces in the announcement if that is what you want!

Announcing a pregnancy can be so fun! I can’t wait until I get to brainstorm ideas for our second baby. There are so many options out there to decide from, and in today’s society, it is so easy to come up with something cute to post on social media!
